These locks are equipped with a tumbler latch. When opening, the latch tips towards the opened position and releases the strike. When closing, the latch touches the upper edge of the strike and gets back to the closing position by spring power. If the latch should fall back into closing position when the door is opened, closing just the same possible, because in this case, the lower edge of the latch slides along the transversal edge of the strike so that the latch will be brought into the opened position.
